General information about β-lactamase:- |
β-lactamase are enzymes responsible for causing antibiotics resistance by hydrolysing β-lactam associated antiobiotics |
Stepwise Help: |
Name of the protein sequence: |
This is an optional field. User may or may not enter the name of the sequence. |
Email Address: |
Depending upon the option which will be opted for prediction or number of queries in que, time required to serve the query will vary from 10 seconds to more than 5 minutes. Instead of waiting till the prediction is complete, this option provide oppurtunity to put the email-id of user to the server. As the prediction is complete, user will receive an email to intimate the same. Only alphabets or numerics or '_' should be there in email-id. |
Query Sequence: |
The server provides two options for submitting the query sequences. The user can paste the sequence in format directly into the inbox field provided or upload the file by using the "BROWSE" option. Sequences must be entered in the one-letter code. All the non standard characters will be ignored from the sequence. |
Upload Sequence: |
The server also has the facility for uploading the local sequence files by using the "BROWSE" option. |
Sequence Format: |
Blapred can accept only FASTA format protein sequence. The user should check the format of the input sequence before submitting the prediction. The results of the prediction will be wrong if the format choosen is wrong. |
Submit Sequence: |
Click here to submit the protein sequence entered/pasted by you |
Prediction Result: |
The prediction results are shown in user-friendly format. The prediction results provides information at three separate level for classifying β-lactamase i.e. the predicted sequence belong to β-lactamase class or not (first level). At second and third level, it predicts sequence belongs to which class and subclass |
