BlaPred at a glance!!
BlaPred is a 3-teir system for prediction of β-lactamase and it's subsequent classification into Ambler's class and sub-classes. The prediction model is based on classic or Type-1 pseudo amino acid composition input and have been trained using leave one out cross-validation approach on a dataset of 3298 proteins (298 β-lactamase & 3000 non-β-lactamase proteins).
The salient features of BlaPred server are:
- At the first level its classifies β-lactamase from nonβ-lactamase with the accuracy of 93.57%.
- At second level it shows 93.27%, 95.52%, 96.86%, 97.31% accuracy for class A, B, C and D β-lactamase respectively.
- At third level it shows 84.78% 95.65% 89.13% accuracy for subclass B1,B2 and B3 respectively .
How it works????
An user can submit a protein sequence in FASTA format. The prediction result will be displayed in tabular format.
